G. Douglas White, P.E., R.P.A.

Doug joined Thomas Downey, Ltd. in 1994 and has more than thirty years of structural engineering experience. His areas of specialty include building structures, exterior wall systems, windows, masonry, waterproofing, roofing, historic structures and construction. Doug’s comprehensive understanding of the wide range of structural building integrity issues characterizes his extensive three-decade portfolio of building investigation and repair projects, expert witness and teaching experience. Doug is an active member of the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the Community Associations Institute and a frequent consultant to many condominium owners associations. Doug’s other client groups include commercial and institutional property owners and managers, real estate managers, law firms and insurance companies.

Doug earned a B.A. from Earlham College, a B.S.C.E. from Washington University, and an M.S.C.E. from the University of Missouri. He is a registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and North Carolina. Doug is also a Real Property Administrator (R.P.A.) certified by The Building Owners and Managers Institute International.
